Health

Cows’ milk – although heavily marketed as healthy – isn’t as desirable as the industry would like people to believe.

Scientific research into the composition and consumption of another mammal’s milk shows it contains many things which can harm our health; including hormones, growth factors, animal protein, saturated fat, cholesterol. Up to 400,000 million somatic (pus) cells are legally allowed in each litre. Dairy products have been linked to breast, bowel, ovarian and prostate cancer, diabetes, asthma, digestive issues and numerous other conditions. Scientists, nutritionists and health organisations have an increasing interest and concern about negatives effects of dairy consumption on human health.

The dairy industry's biased health claims that cow's milk contains calcium and is therefore good for us are over simplistic. Cow's milk is not a natural food for humans, we are the only mammal to consume it after infancy and to consume another animal's milk.
